Privacy Policy
INFHUB · Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains how INFHUB (“we”, “the project”) handles personal data when you visit infhub.org and use the linked services.
INFHUB is a small independent project. We collect as little as we can. We do not sell personal data. We do not run ads. We do not use your visits to train models.
Who we are
Controller: INFHUB project.
Contact for privacy questions: [email protected]
If you are in the EU/EEA (including the Netherlands), you can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
What we collect
- Server logs. When you load a page, the host records a standard request log: IP address, date and time, URL, user-agent, and referrer. We use this for security, abuse prevention, and to see if the site is up. We do not build a profile from it.
- What you type into us. If you email us or send a message through a form we add later, we keep that message and your address so we can reply. We don’t add a form until we say so here.
- Realm play. The linked game servers (Minecraft-style, Terraria-style, or others) are separate. They may log usernames, IPs, and chat under their own rules. This page covers the hub site. A realm’s own notice, if it has one, covers play on that server.
What we do not collect
- No account is required to view the hub.
- No payment data. The hub does not take cards or crypto.
- No sale of data, no ad network, no resale of logs.
- No intentional collection of special-category data (health, biometrics, and the like).
Cookies and similar tech
The hub sets one strictly necessary cookie (`infhub_visitor`) to identify your browser for the “currently online” counter on the status page. It contains a random ID, is httpOnly, and is not used to follow you across sites. The hub does not use Google Analytics, Meta pixels, or an advertising SDK.
The host or a security layer in front of the site (for example a CDN or bot check) may set a strictly necessary cookie to keep the connection working or to block abuse. That cookie is not used to follow you around the web.
If we later add analytics or a non-essential cookie, we will update this page and, where the law requires it, ask first.
Why we process data
- To serve the site and the realm links.
- To keep the server secure and diagnose outages.
- To answer you if you contact us.
Legal bases under the GDPR, where it applies: legitimate interest (running and securing a small public site) and, if you email us, steps toward responding to your request. We do not rely on a catch-all “consent” for basic logs.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: typically 14–30 days, then deleted or rotated, unless we need a specific entry for a security incident.
- Emails you send us: kept as long as the thread is useful, then deleted.
Who we share with
We do not sell or rent personal data.
The site is hosted by a third-party host (and may sit behind a CDN or DNS provider). They process connection data as our processor, only to deliver the site. Game realms you click through to are operated under their own setup; leaving the hub means their rules apply.
We may disclose data if the law requires it (a valid legal order). We will not volunteer logs for marketing.
International transfers
The host may store logs outside the EU. Where that happens, we rely on the host’s standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision. For a small static hub this is ordinary infrastructure, not a data product.
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you, you can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Email [email protected]. We may need to confirm it’s you. Logs keyed only by IP are hard to tie to a named person; say what you can.
Children
The hub is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete what we can identify.
Changes
If the hub starts taking accounts, payments, or analytics, this page changes first. The date at the top is the date that matters.
